Mission 5 · Getting around and checking in

This is a review and application lesson where you recall and use what you've learned. Look at the meaning first and say it, then check the answer and pronunciation. vé means ticket, xe buýt is bus, sân bay means airport. xuống means to get off. The phrase asking to get off here is used in taxis, while for buses you should get off at a designated stop. Practice tone marks and vowel marks together. đặt phòng is to reserve a room, nhận phòng means to check in, trả phòng is to check out. hộ chiếu means passport. ạ adds politeness, but appropriate address and tone are also important.
